Iran, Az Cheshmanam
Iran, From My Eyes. This started off as a memoir of my time spent in Iran as a solo female traveller in 2023. From my 2023 solo trip, all 62 days have been thoroughly documented in the three little notebooks shown in the photo to the left. Each day has a post dedicated to it giving you a glimpse of my experience around several cities of Iran, where I try to balance both subjective perceptions and objective insights. From my scribbles, I only share excerpts of my most noteworthy observations and lessons.
A year later, I returned to Iran to study the language for 4 months. What I intended to keep as a digital memoir on roaming around Iran in 2023 is en-route to taking on a bigger role, including: my experiences with immersive language acquisition, with occasional posts on historic conservation and cultural exchange and diplomacy.
Follow along if you want to learn more about Iran from a fearless, but cautious, female with a Yemenite heritage, who gives anthropological and artistic perspectives.
